Preparation Prior to the Treatment
Inform the doctor of the history of allergies, chronic diseases, and regular medication in advance. Discontinue the intake of anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Ibuprofen, and drugs that affect blood coagulation, such as aspirin, as well as food supplements, vitamin E, garlic, fish oil, and evening primrose oil at least 2 weeks prior to the surgery.
Post-Operative Care
- Close the wound for about 3-5 days as instructed by the doctor.
- Prevent the wound from being in contact with water.
- Clean the wound on a daily basis after the bandage is removed and until the day of suture removal.
- Sutures will be removed within 5-7 days after the surgery, depending on the wound conditions.
- Take medications as prescribed by the doctor.
- Stop smoking cigarettes and stop drinking alcohol.
- In case of swelling and bruising, apply a warm compression after the sutures have been removed.
- In the event of any problems, contact the staff and visit the doctor immediately.
