Many people might not be aware of the importance of facial treatment and might not know when to start receiving facial treatment and how to choose the most appropriate facial treatment.
20-30 Years of Age
In general, our skin cells have a lifespan of 14-25 days, after which they will be replaced by new skin cells. This results in healthy, smooth, and firm skin. Some individuals may have the problems of dry skin and fine lines caused by facial expressions (premature signs of aging). Individuals with fine lines are recommended to receive facial treatment 1-2 times per month and continuously every 2-3 months in order to prevent premature signs of aging. Daily skincare routine should be performed through the use of skincare products to provide moisture to the skin.
30-40 Years of Age
The process of exfoliation will slow down to the average of 30 days or more. During this 10-year period, skin will become dull, lack firmness and moisture, and become drier than at the age of 20-30 years. Sebum production will decrease, which means that there will be less amount of sebum to protect the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles will become more apparent, especially around the eyes and mouth. Skin elasticity will decrease due to the deterioration of collagen and elastin. Individuals in this age range are recommended to receive facial treatment once per week and continuously every month to solve the problems of fine lines and wrinkles.
40-50 Years of Age
The exposure to UV radiation and the reduction of estrogen contribute to the loss of structural stability of the skin, as well as lack of water retention capacity, firmness, and elasticity. The skin structure becomes thinner and lacks moisture. Deep fine lines and wrinkles are noticeable across the face. Individuals are recommended to receive facial treatment 1-2 times per week to prevent fine lines and add moisture to the skin.
